PRIDE in Care NC

Centralina Council of Governments developed and implemented Pride in Care North Carolina to create more inclusive skilled nursing facilities across the state of North Carolina. The project hosted 17 regional trainings and trained over 160 individuals to serve as advocates and educators in their Skilled Nursing Facilities to uphold residents’ rights and treat all residents with dignity and respect.  The training, developed based off of the Stories from the Field research report, was designed specifically for SNF staff.

Centralina was awarded five State and National awards for the Pride in Care Project.
